Step 1 :Acquire apple butter.

Step 2: Apply apple butter to all things. Cinnamon swirl bread is a good one of those things.

Step 3: OD on apple butter and swear off until next autumn.

How to Autumn in Florida:

Step 1: Acquire alcohol.

Step 2: Apply alcohol to all things. Margaritas are a good one of these things.

Step 3: OD on alcohol and continue drinking upon regaining consciousness.

No “Pumpkin Spice”?

I’m on board with this program!

Pumpkin has no business involving itself with anything but pie and roasted seeds.

I finished it off before I could take a picture of it. That will be remedied soon.

Couldn’t agree more!

(Ever tried Pumpkin Soup? It’s even worse than it sounds.)

I wonder about areas that don’t have drastic weather changes that coincide with the seasons. Do you just eat the same stuff all year?

Once fall hits apple cider/butter and pumpkin pie are consumed almost daily until Thanksgiving. Full on winter and I’m eating oatmeal and soup and my coffee/tea intake quadruples.

No, but it sounds about as appetizing as the pumpkin cheesecake my brother tried making. He didn’t blend together the ingredients properly and the filling was soup consistency pumpkin fluid with bits of cheese floating in it. Trying to be polite I took a bite and promptly vomited. It was so disgusting that I almost swore off pumpkin pie. Almost.

That is bad. I think the soup would be right on that level though.

My dad had the quote of the day that Thanksgiving, in front of the whole family. “Pumpkin soup? This is what they fed POWs in Vietnam!”

Oh, we had a drastic weather change. The temperature dropped from 95 to 85. Seriously though, we do enjoy seasonal foods and the like down here, but more out of tradition than comfort.

My mom just sent me some absolutely dank pumpkin bread, and I will shank a motherfucker if I don’t get cornbread dressing (that’s what we call stuffing when its outside the bird), mashed potatos w/gravy, cranberry sauce (out of a can is preferred), and sweet potato casserole on Thanksgiving. Pecan pie is also a mandatory fall dessert down here.

I did stay at an actual Margaritaville hotel while visiting my grandparents for Thanksgiving last year though.

You should try this brand then. I can’t even describe how good it is. Just know that it comes with Agrajag’s highest recommendation. :)

Your recommendation is good enough for me!
